The Mae Tao Clinic (MTC), founded and directed by Dr. Cynthia Maung, provides free health care for refugees, migrant workers, and other individuals who cross the border from Burma to Thailand. People of all ethnicities and religions are welcome at the Clinic.

Each and every day, we at Pure and Co are amazed to witness the dedication and commitment of the volunteers we come into contact with. These people tirelessly devote time and energy to achieve their goal to help others.

Often those who get the credit are willing and able to commit their time unpaid. Sometimes, we forget about those professionals who without their guidance, the organizations would never operate as efficiently or achieve the success they envision.

These professionals are often masters of their fields and could easily earn a high standard of living elsewhere, however, they know that their time and energy will steer the organizations they are involved with to a higher standard and they want to help those most in need. These professionals don’t ask for much, a working wage, an ability to earn a meager living and maybe a flight to their home country once a year to see loved ones.

These are people we want to support. Without their direction and assistance, charities like the Mae Tao Clinic (also known as Cynthia’s Clinic) would not be able to maintain and grow their aid and support to so many needy Burmese and Thai men, women and children.

These professionals commit at least a year of their time, their expertise and training, and their perseverance and dedication to Cynthia’s Clinic and we are proud to say we are supporting them.
